How we built a place where real strength gets made

Where It All Started

Look, I'm gonna be straight with you. Back in 2018, I was tired of seeing the same cookie-cutter gyms pop up everywhere - you know the type, all flash and no substance. Just rows of treadmills and machines that don't actually make you stronger.

I'd spent years competing in Olympic weightlifting and training fighters on the side. What I noticed was simple: people wanted real results but didn't know where to get 'em. They'd bounce from gym to gym, never finding a place that actually cared about building genuine strength and conditioning.

So I maxed out my credit cards, found this rough-around-the-edges warehouse space on Granville, and started Warforged Enclave. The name? It's not some marketing BS. In fantasy games, warforged are literally built for battle - constructed, refined, made stronger through purpose. That's what we do here.

Started with just 8 members and barely enough equipment to run a proper program. But those first folks? They got it. They understood that strength isn't built overnight, and real conditioning takes more than just sweating through some Instagram workout.

Fast forward to now - we've got over 300 members, some of the best coaches in BC, and equipment that'd make any serious lifter drool. But here's what hasn't changed: we still give a damn about every single person who walks through that door.

Whether you're pulling 500lbs or learning to deadlift the bar for the first time, you're family here. We don't do judgment, we don't do shortcuts, and we sure as hell don't do gimmicks. Just solid programming, experienced coaching, and a community that'll push you to be better.

How We Got Here

March 2018

The Beginning

Opened the doors with 2,000 sq ft of raw warehouse space. Had 3 platforms, some bumpers, and a dream. First 8 members took a chance on us.

November 2018

First Competition Team

Took 6 members to their first Olympic weightlifting meet. They all PRed. That's when I knew we had something special going.

June 2019

Expansion #1

Hit 100 members. Knocked down a wall and doubled our space. Added the conditioning zone and recovery area. Things were getting real.

March 2020

The Pivot

Yeah, COVID hit. We didn't quit though. Moved training online, did outdoor sessions in the parking lot. Our community stuck with us through everything.

September 2021

Coming Back Strong

Reopened at full capacity. Members came back hungry. Added 4 more coaches to the team. Best decision we ever made.

April 2023

National Recognition

Named one of Canada's top strength & conditioning facilities. Our athletes competed at nationals. We're putting Vancouver on the map.

October 2025

Right Now
